Founder & Engineer at MomentumTrader
I'm an engineer and founder in Dallas-Fort Worth, currently building two AI products full-time — momentumtrader.ai (AI-native trading intelligence) and a2zai.ai (real-time intelligence for AI builders). Before going independent in 2024, I spent ~15 years in engineering leadership, most recently at AWS Security and before that at Goldman Sachs, shipping systems in regulated, high-stakes environments where being right mattered as much as shipping fast. Baylor grad. Happiest when the pipeline holds under load and the agent actually does the thing.
I hike with my 2 kids. I also enjoy kayaking and grilling.
Topics I want to go deeper on:
Agent architectures in production — memory, tool use, evals, and what actually holds up past the demo
Real-time data infrastructure for AI — streaming pipelines, change detection, low-latency retrieval
Model evaluation and comparison at scale — beyond leaderboards, into quality/latency/cost/reliability tradeoffs in real workloads
Applied ML for financial markets — regime detection, signal decay, and anything at the intersection of LLMs and quantitative strategies
Two things right now, both full-time:
momentumtrader.ai — AI-native trading intelligence. Building momentum scoring across price, volume, volatility, and catalysts, regime-aware models that adapt to market conditions, and an agent that pulls earnings, options chains, and news into structured trade scenarios. API-accessible signals for decision support.
a2zai.ai — Real-time intelligence for AI builders. Tracks the moment an LLM ships, an API changes, or a benchmark moves. Live stream of high-sign
